Mustelids are the family group of animals that includes Badgers, Otters, Mink, Polecats, Stoats, Weasels, and Pine Martens. they all have elongated bodies and are all carnivorous. We have been lucky enough to meet most species in the course of our work, some of which are pictured below:-
Badgers
Our juvenile Badger, approx 9 weeks old found on a busy Luton Road - Later released. Adult Badger - RTA victim. Suffering from head trauma - Later released
   
Otter
Our Otter Cub, brought in aged approx 6 weeks, suffering from hypothermia. A few weeks later, fully weaned. Transferred to Hessilhead Wildife Rescue's Otter release programme with the help of Tiggywinkles - Later released
Polecats
This unconscious sub-adult Polecat was brought in after it was hit by a car on the Beds/Herts border - Later released. This Juvenile Polecat had only just weaned and was found in a garden covered in ticks and very underweight - Later released
