Fundraising ideas

Bake Sale:
Get all your friends and neighbours to bake cakes and cookies and make jams and marmalades. Sell them all and donate the proceeds to Bedfordshire Wildlife Rescue.
Name the Teddy:
Ask people to guess the name of a teddy bear to win him
Barbecue:
Hold a barbecue and ask your friends and familyto make a donation to Bedfordshire Wildlife Rescue.
Raffle:
Ask local businesses to donate prizes and and sell raffle tickets. Ask the buyer to write their name and phone number on each ticket stubs so you can let them know if they win.
Book Sale:
Collect unwanted books from friends and family and have a book sale.
Tombola
Gather a number of items, soft toys, unwanted presents, etc and hold a tombola, using the numbers ending in 0 and 5 to correspon with those stuck to the prizes.
Car Washing:
A great idea for our younger supporters. Ask a local company or supermarket if you can use their car park.
Sponsored Beard Trim or Haircut:
Ask your friends and colleagues to sponsor you to have it shaved off/cut.
Car Boot Sale/Boot Fair:
Take all your friends and families unwanted items to a local car boot sale.
Sponsored Bike Ride:
With lots of local cycle routes a sponsored bike ride would be an enjoyable way of raising funds for us.
Cheese and Wine Evening:
Are you a wine buff? Why not ask a local supermarket to donate some bottles of wine and have a prize for the team who identifies the most wines.
Sponsored Football Match:
Organise a friendly soccer match or tournament with companies, local villages, schools etc. Charge spectators an entry fee and ask the teams to get sponsored per goal.
Coffee Morning:
Invite friends to a cakes and coffee morning and ask for donations. This can be combined with a book sale etc.
Coin Save:
Have one of our collecting tins on your desk or in your house. Put all of your loose change in and when the box is full, donate it to Bedfordshire Wildlife Rescue
Collecting Boxes:
Ask local shops, garages, supermarkets, pubs, vets, etc to have one of our collection boxes by their till.
 Guess the Number/Weight:
Put a quantity of items (e.g. sweets, screws, dog biscuits) in a jar, and ask people to pay to guess how many there are, or how heavy the jar is. The winner gets a prize, or the contents of the jar.
